Books & Fields does not expect to locate or sell many antiquarian books. However, we will find some, and wish to develop relationships with one or several antiquarian dealers who can advise on marketing or accept the items found by B&F on a consignment basis.

Books, sets, collections, ephemera

While the topics cannot be predicted, we are confident that the we will locate valuable single books, sets, and best of all, collections. We are especially interested in assistance in moving collections, but also will work with you to match books and sets with customers that will value them and pay a fair price. Experience has shown that the books are often accompanied by important ephemera. Dealers that can help guide us in managing the non-book material are also a welcome support.


Marketing Targets

We have sufficient contacts to reach the mass audience. We value help in reaching the more circumspect buyers, especially private collectors of means and the rare books departments of universities and institutions. We will work with you to establish the bona fides of B&F and of the actual material for sale in order to facilitate your outreach to these buyers.

Partnering arrangements to consider

You may wish to engage with us in one or more of three ways:

  • In an advisory consulting role [see next]

  • As a consignee marketing the books, as described on an earlier page.

  • As a purchaser of the rare or antiquarian book. If so, you may purchase them if already priced. If not yet priced, we will consult with other authorities and contact you with an offer.
