At Books & Fields we do not see other dealers as competitors. We have common interests in increasing our collective stock, visibility, and customer base. There are many win-wins in which our clients will be better served, and our businesses will thrive. As in nature, let us look to the health of the entire ecosystem in a way that will benefit each of the individual parts.

Consignment Selling

Books & Fields is pleased to consider consignment selling in which stock from one store is shown in the other, and the proceeds are split between the two. The consignment opportunities cover both the physical display and the on-line marketing.

Stock sharing/surplus

If you are overstocked in genres beyond what you expect to sell and want to convert that stock to ready cash, please contact Books & Fields. Likewise, B&F is willing to share its surplus at favorable rates.

Rare and Antiquarian Books

Books & Fields does not expect to locate or sell many antiquarian books. However, we will find some, and wish to develop relationships with one or several antiquarian dealers who can advise on marketing or accept the items found by B&F on a consignment basis.

Joint Marketing

We believe that collectors are more likely to undertake a visit if there are multiple reasons to travel. Let’s jointly advertise, especially if linked to broader regional attractions! Likewise, we are happy to consider joining together for a larger book seller presence at community festivals, ‘Friends of the Library’ sales and book fairs.
